Should the event cancel or the client cancels, the agreement or the client decides to cancel or downgrade the agreed performance [either the amount of time agreed or band arrangement/number of performers] 183 days [6 months] or more prior to the appearance/event date, 25% of the Artist fee is payable or forfeiting of the initial 25% deposit/ booking fee. If the deposit/ booking fee has not been paid, this will still be enforceable under the original payment terms, providing this falls outside of the standard cooling-off period.
Should the event cancel or the client cancels the agreement or the client decides to cancel or downgrade the agreed performance [either the amount of time agreed or band arrangement/number of performers] between 182 - 61 days prior to the appearance/event date, 50% of the Artist fee is payable. If the 25% deposit/ booking fee has been received, the remaining 25% balance will be due six weeks from the date of cancellation. If the deposit/ booking fee has not been received, this will still be enforceable under the original payment terms, providing this falls outside of the standard cooling-off period.
This completely comes down to personal taste and how you and your partner wish to arrange your special day, but here are the key moments to think about having a song for:

There is no right or wrong order to have these songs performed. Signing of the registry happens a lot quicker than people realise. One song is usually more than adequate; however, please feel welcome to advise a second song just in case. Please ensure you provide approximate timing that you wish for these songs to be either performed live or played as the original track.
Someone will have to set up the sound system on the actual wedding date. While this is usually a person from the company supplying the music, you'll need to confirm this in order to coordinate setup time and the soundcheck with your venue. Plus, you'll want to ask the band what's required if your wedding ceremony or reception will be outside.
Your venue is going to ask who will handle the setup of your band or any live musician. As such, it’s a fair question to ask of the group that you hire. In most instances, they should be responsible for setting up for themselves. Therefore, be sure that you allow enough time for them to do so. This will involve giving them the contact person at the venue to coordinate those details.
Consider this one of the most important questions to ask your wedding band. Of course, your pros should be able to play your favourite music, so ask if they can perform your dream first dance song or the tune you've always wanted for the father-daughter dance.
In many instances, the answer is, “for as long as you need.” However, there will be costs associated with this. Find out what their packages are to ensure they will be there for as long as you need so you don’t run into a situation where they’re packing up before your reception is over. Additionally, find out if they have gigs before or after you, as it can affect how long they’ll pay for. You don’t want them to show up late to your event or pack up early to get to their next gig. It would be best if you were getting them for the entire day.

Soul Song was founded in Cairns in 2010 by Jacqueline Larsen and quickly grew to an average membership of around 80 men and women. The vision was to create an all-inclusive community space where singers of all experiences and abilities could come together to sing.
We sing a range of pop, soul and gospel music that is uplifting and motivating, arranged typically for either 3 or 4 vocal parts singing in harmony, although we have sung in as many as seven parts. Occasionally we will sing a popular show tune or something a little bit folk-ish, and we have also performed a couple of unknown originals.
Our arrangements are either purchased or arranged by choir members, and we perform a mix of Cappella songs (just voices only, no instruments accompanying) and with backing tracks.
The Choir That's Not Like A Choir
Soul Song Brisbane started life as the West End Social Singers - an experimental six week Christmas pop-up in late 2018. However, we had so much fun that we decided not to let it go, and Soul Song Brisbane was formed in January 2019.
Since then, Soul Song Brisbane has become a genuine community of around 80 singers as well as a fun and funky space for people of all musical experiences to sing together. In January 2022, our new north side choir will meet for the first time.
